Rhode Island AG Petitioned to Intervene in Liquified Propane Gas Project
JUNE 16, 2021
Rhode Island Attorney General Peter Neronha filed a motion to intervene in a case involving the proposed expansion of a liquified propane gas project, which developers argued does not require a full review by the RI Energy Facilities Siting Board (EFSB). In the motion, AG Neronha argued that the expansion constitutes an “alteration to a major energy facility,” which, under state law, requires a full application and review by the EFSB.
