North Carolina AG Announced Lawsuits Against Manufacturers for Toxic Chemical Found in Firefighting Foam

North Carolina Attorney General Josh Stein brought four lawsuits against 14 manufacturers of firefighting foam, a material containing PFAS chemicals that is regularly used by firefighters and other first responders to help extinguish hard-to-fight fires. The lawsuits sought court action to require the companies to clean up the damage caused by the toxic foam and monitor future water quality.
