New York AG Awarded $900,000 Environmental Grant

New York Attorney General Letitia James, along with New York Governor Kathy Hochul, announced a grant of over $900,000 to environmental projects in Tonawanda, a city in New York that has long experienced negative environmental effects from a coke facility that was shut down following enforcement of environmental laws. The funds are the result of a penalty paid by the company for those violations. The grant will be split among ten small projects and four large projects, which were selected based on the input of over 3,000 community members.
