Eighteen AGs Filed Petition for Review of EPA’s Revised Determination on Clean Car Standards

California Attorney General Xavier Becerra led a coalition of 18 attorneys general in filing a petition for review of the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Revised Determination of the appropriateness and feasibility of fuel efficiency standards for cars and light trucks for model years 2022-2025. The lawsuit seeks to “set aside and hold unlawful” the EPA’s Revised Determination, which is the first step in the process of weakening the standards.
