Colorado AG Settled with Mining Company over Toxic Wastewater Spill

Colorado Attorney General Phil Weiser, along with the Colorado Natural Resources Trustees, announced a settlement with a company that was liable for the 2015 Gold King Mine waste water spill, which released toxic wastewater from a mine into a Colorado watershed. The company will pay $1.6 million that will go towards restoring the natural resources damaged by the incident.
