California Announced Recipients of $10 Million in Grants to Study the Effects of Vehicle Emissions

California Attorney General Rob Bonta announced $10 million in grants made under the Automobile Emissions Research and Technology Fund, set up to study vehicle-related air pollution and mitigate impacts to environmental justice communities across the state. The grants were funded by the 2016 settlement with Volkswagen over its emission cheating scandal.
